LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Messiah men's track and field team traveled to Bucknell University for the Bison Open and Multi on Friday and Saturday. The Falcons competed well with victories in the two distance races with
Louka Fetter in the 5000 Meter on Friday and
Logan Horst in the 3000 Meter on Saturday.

Friday Update
In the 60 Meter Hurdles,
John Steele was the lone runner for the Falcons, crossing the line in a time of 9.26.
Joshua Horst competed in the 200 Meter and completed the race in a time of 26.06.

The team of
Josiah Moyer,
Adam Hostetler,
John Condon, and
Noah Calisti finished the Distance Medley Relay in a time of 17:52:05.36, placing sixth in a field littered with Division II and Division I competitors.

Friday's action was highlighted by the Falcons' efforts in the 5000 Meter. Messiah had three competitors in the event with
Louka Fetter leading the charge and winning the event in a time of in 15:12.88, more than 30 seconds ahead of second place. Joining Fetter in the top five was
Andrew Hutchinson (fifth, 16:10.53).
Jonathan Wyrick also ran the 5000 Meter for the Messiah and crossed the line in a time of 16:59.16.

Saturday Update
Joshua Horst opened the Falcons' day with a time of 7.63 in the 60 Meter. Following that, a trio of Falcons ran the Mile with
Andrew Hutchinson leading the way. Hutchinson finished in 12th place with a time of 4:27.81.
Josh Bauman (4:32.21) and
Nathan Kimmel (4:34.25) also competed in the Mile, finishing with times just over 4:30.

In the 400 Meter,
Derek Heisey crossed the line in a time of 54.31. Three Falcons took on the 800 Meter, with a sixth-place finish for
John Condon highlighting their efforts. Condon crossed the line in a time of 1:59.54 while
Adam Hostetler (2:04.48) and
Nathan Kopp (2:04.82) finished back-to-back in their heat.

Nathaniel Coggins ran a time of 2:45.03 in the 1000 Meter to finish eighth.

Messiah created a dominant presence in the 3000 Meter with a first and second place sweep.
Logan Horst (8:48.66) and
Noah Calisti (8:49.04) finished first and second respectively for the Falcons. Also earning a top-ten finish was
Josiah Moyer (seventh, 8:55.09).
Zeke Colyer (9:27.01),
Tyler Billet (9:36.24), and
Lance Kauffman (10:00.01) also competed in the event.

Finishing the day on the track was the 4x400 Meter Relay. The team of Kopp,
Zach French, Condon, and Bauman finished in a time of 3:37.08. A second team was not far behind finishing in a time of 3:44.36. That squad was comprised of Hostetler, Kimmel, Coggins and
Jack Daudt.

Messiah found their way into the seventh-place spot in both the Long Jump and High Jump.
Zach French finished with a mark of 6.57m in the Long Jump to secure the seventh-place finish.
Derek Heisey finished the day tied with two other competitors for seventh place. His final jump was 1.85m.

Rounding out the jumps for the day was a ninth-place finish for
John Steele in the Triple Jump. He finished with a mark of 13.01 meters.
Noah Keitel finished with a mark of 11.93 meters.

The Falcons will travel to New York City for the NYU Armory DIII Invitational on Friday, Feb. 3.
