ANNVILLE, Pa. - On Monday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth released their 2023 Women's Volleyball All-MAC Commonwealth Major Awards and All-Conference teams.
Sarah Hart led the Falcons selections after being named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year. Five Falcons were also honored on the All-MAC Commonwealth teams.
Mackenzie Feight led the Falcons with a First Team All-MAC Commonwealth selection. Along with being named Rookie of the year,
Sarah Hart earned a spot on the second team with
Emma Swartz and
Chayney Barnhart.
Caitlin Lielbriedis also earned a spot on the Honorable mention team.
Sarah Hart became the sixth player in program history to be named Conference Rookie of the Year. Hart had an impressive first year for the Falcons, playing all 28 matches this season. Hart finished second on the team with 243 kills on the season and added in 22 blocks. Hart finished the season strong, recording double-digit kills in. five of the last eight matches for the Falcons.
Mackenzie Feight earned a spot on the MAC Commonwealth First Team for the third straight season. Feight led the Falcons with 296 kills, 3.08 kills per set, and 356 points. Feight also added in 296 digs, which ranked second on the team. Feight became just the seventh player to record 1000 kills on Oct. 6 against Shenandoah. Feight earned two MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week honors on the season. She was named MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 5 and MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 23.
Emma Swartz earned her second straight MAC Commonwealth Second-Team honor after an impressive season. Swartz led the Falcons on the season with 573 assists and 5.79 assists per set. Swartz also added a team-high 51 service aces on the season.
Chayney Barnhart earned her third straight All-MAC Commonwealth selection with second team honors. Barnhart finished the season third for the Falcons with 205 kills and finished second on the team with 280.5 points. Barnhart also finished second on the team with 70 blocks on the season.
Caitlin Lielbriedis was named to Honorable Mention team after splitting time as an outside hitter and libero for the Falcons. Lielbriedis led the Falcons with 331 digs on the season. She also added in 29 service aces and 50 kills.
