GRANTHAM, PA. - The Messiah women's basketball team put on a show in front of their home fans in Hitchcock Arena late on Wednesday night, taking down Widener 66-39 to advance to the MAC Championship this weekend.

Reese Harden added 14.
Morgan Adams recorded a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds while
Amber High did a little bit of everything in the contest. High scored nine points and added five assists, three steals and five blocks.
The Falcons will face Alvernia in the MAC Championship in Grantham, Pa. on February 25, at 3:00 PM.
On the Floor
The teams found the bottom of the net early and often as Messiah led Widener 9-7 just under five minutes into the quarter. That would be the closest it would be for the rest of the game as the Falcons continue to score as they built up a seven point lead after the first quarter of play 18-11. That lead became 31-18 at the break as the Falcons used quality looks from the floor to keep their foot on the pedal scoring 13 in the quarter and limiting Widener to seven.
Holding Widener to seven points again in the third quarter, the Falcons developed a comfortable lead but that wasn't meant with controversy. The teams got physical trading fouls in front of a raucous crowd including multiple technical fouls being charged to Widener in the second half. It didn't phase the Falcons, who rolled on to a dominating 66-39 win over the Pride.
