Falcons Use Onslaught of Goals to Dominate Monarchs

WILKES-BARRE, PA. – The Falcons scored early and often against the Monarchs in a dominating win this evening.
 
The Falcons closed out the first period with a 7-0 lead and pushed it to a 12-3 lead at the half. Ben Ferrell led the Falcons with four goals and Seth Libby tacked on three on the night.
 
The Falcons will host Chatham University on Saturday, March 4 at 1:00 PM on the Lacrosse Turf in Grantham, Pa.
 
Coming out of the Gates Hot
Messiah used an onslaught of 14 shots and converted seven goals in the first period of action and didn't look back for the rest of the game. Ben Ferrell scored the first two goals of the day for the Falcons in a day he would find the back of the cage four times.
 
The Falcons continued their stellar defense and continued on offense, scoring another five times in the second period to open up a 12-1 lead at the minute and a half mark of the first half. The Falcons led 12-3 at the break.
 
Messiah outscored the Monarchs in the second by two, holding a 3-2 advantage in each second half period. At the final buzzer, the Falcons earned their third win of the year winning convincingly 18-7.
 
Ten Falcons Find Pay Dirt

Ben Ferrell led the Falcons with four goals and tacked on an assist on the night while Seth Libby added three goals. Chad Teresky and Dean Gillette each had two goals and three assists with Bobby Berg adding two goals himself.
 
Corum McCuller, Nathan Branson, Jesse Lynch, Max April and Zach Drake all found the back of the net once in the contest in a game where Messiah took 49 shots to King's 29.
