CHESTER, Pa. - Seven members of the Messiah Track and Field Team traveled to Widener University on Sunday, May 14th and Monday, May 15th to compete in the Widener Final Qualifier.
Matthew Puleo was the lone Falcon to compete in the field events and made the trip on Sunday afternoon. The remainder of the Falcons made the drive Monday afternoon to run. The meet concludes the 2023 Outdoor Season for Messiah.

Matthew Puleo was the lone Falcon to make the trip Sunday afternoon. His final mark in the Javelin Throw was 52.91 meters, earning him fourth.
Kate Dickow was the lone female Falcon to compete at Widener. She crossed the line in a time of 4:45.53 in the 1500 Meter Run.
Messiah had a trio of competitors in the Men's 1500 Meter Run. Leading the way was
Logan Horst, crossing the line in a new personal best time of 3:50.91 to finish 12th out of 100 runners. That time was just shy of Benjamin Schott's 2019 school record of 3:50.69. Adding to that impressive performance was a 3:52.06 1500 Meter Run that Horst ran on Wednesday, May 11th at the West Point Twilight meet.
Andrew Hutchinson breaks into the Top Ten after running a new personal best time of 3:56.54. That time is the seventh fastest in Messiah history.
Josiah Moyer rounded out the trio in a time of 4:01.62.
Closing out the action on the track was the 1500 Meter Run.
Kyle Costello crossed the line in a time of 15:44.50.
