YORK, Pa. - The Messiah Track and Field team concluded the three-day Middle Atlantic Conference Championship Meet at York College of Pennsylvania on Saturday evening. The Falcons completed the Triple Crown after winning the Cross Country and Indoor Track and Field Championships earlier this year. Messiah took the title after a strong third day of competition. Leading the team effort was a sweep of gold through bronze in the 1500 Meter Run as well as two other podium finishers in the event and three podium finishers in both the Javelin and 5000 Meter.
Friday Afternoon
Louka Fetter led a trio of Falcons scoring in the 10000 Meter Run. His final time of 31:22.89 earned him the silver medal.
Kyle Costello ran a season-best time of 31:53.16 to earn seventh. Rounding out the trio was
Andrew Hutchinson who crossed the line in a time of 31:53.58 to earn eighth with a season-best time. Finishing just outside scoring was
Noah Calisti, who crossed the line in 32:27.79 to take 12th.
Lance Kauffman (34:19.18) and
Jonathan Wyrick (34:38.18) also competed in the 10000 Meter.
The 4x800 Meter Relay team of
Josiah Moyer,
Nathan Kimmel,
John Condon, and
Logan Horst combined for a time of 7:48.66 to earn third place.
Hoyt Lechthaler finished 11th in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 42.54 meters.
Messiah had three Falcons compete in Day One of the Men's Decathlon.
Gavin Dunkerton sat in third place with a cumulative score of 3139.
Josiah Provan was in eighth with a cumulative score of 2681 and
Liam McGovern was in ninth with a cumulative score of 2585. The results of the first day events are as follows:

Friday Action
After a handful of podium finishes on Thursday evening,
Gavin Dunkerton led a trio of Falcons to podium in the Decathlon, earning the gold with a cumulative score of 5874. His cumulative score is a personal best by 401 points and improves his place on the Messiah Top Ten List to fifth.
Josiah Provan finished sixth with a new personal best cumulative score of 4983 while
Liam McGovern added a new personal best cumulative score of 4719 to place eighth. Their individual event results are as follows:

Zach French earned the silver in the Long Jump, reaching a new personal best distance of 6.86 meters. That mark puts him ninth on the Messiah Top Ten List.
In the High Jump,
Derek Heisey earned fifth after clearing a height of 1.86 meters.
Hoyt Lechthaler threw a new personal best of 39.64 meters to earn ninth.
In the 3000 Meter Steeplechase,
Josh Bauman led the way for Messiah, earning second with a new personal best time of 9:37.00. He joins the Messiah Top Ten List at number 10 with that time.
Jonathan Wyrick also ran a new personal best time, crossing the line in a time of 10:26.12. The final Falcon,
Tyler Billet, crossed the line in a time of 10:41.48.
John Condon finished fifth in prelims of the 800 Meter Run, crossing the line in a time of 1:56.03.
Nathan Kimmel ran 2:00.01 and
Nathaniel Coggins ran a new personal best of 2:01.57. Rounding out the Falcon efforts was
Nathan Kopp who crossed the line in a time of 2:03.43.
In the 110 Meter Hurdles,
John Steele crossed the line in a new personal best time of 15.80 to earn seventh in prelims.
Aedan Wilkinson added a personal best performance in the 200 Meter Dash, running a time of 22.65.
Derek Heisey earned fourth in the 400 Meter Hurdles prelims, crossing the line in a time of 56.82.
Josiah Zehr added a season best time of 58.85 while
Adam Hostetler crossed the line in a time of 59.19.

Saturday Action
A highlight on the track was the 1500 Meter Run. Messiah had six runners in the1500 Meter Run and five placed in the top eight finishers to score. Leading that group was a one, two, three sweep by
Logan Horst,
Louka Fetter, and
Noah Calisti. Horst crossed the line in a time of 3:56.30 to earn the gold. Crossing right behind in a time of 3:56.63 was Fetter while Calisti crossed the line in a time of 3:57.05 to earn second and third respectively while both running personal best times. Fetter is now seventh on the Messiah Top Ten List and Calisiti joins the list in eighth. Joining them on the podium was
Andrew Hutchinson (fifth, 3:57.74, personal best) and
Josiah Moyer (eighth, 4:00.53, personal best).
Zeke Colyer added a personal best time of 4:07.15 to round out the Falcon competitors in the event.
Josiah Zehr finished second in the Pole Vault after clearing a height of 4.30 meters.
Messiah placed a trio of Falcons on the podium in the Javelin Throw with all three earning new personal bests.
Matthew Puleo earned silver with a toss of 57.54 meters improving his place on the Messiah Top Ten List to sixth. Taking bronze was
Gavin Dunkerton who threw a distance of 56.25 meters, the seventh best in Messiah history .
Hoyt Lechthaler threw a personal best of 49.86 meters to earn seventh.
The Falcons added another trio to the podium in the 5000 Meter Run.
Logan Horst added his second gold of the day, crossing the line in a time of 15:03.42. Earning sixth was
Louka Fetter in a time of 15:21.14. Joining them on the podium was
Noah Calisti who crossed the line in a time of 15:27.05. Five more Falcons joined them in the race.

John Steele ran an improved personal best from Friday's prelims in the 110 Meter Hurdles, crossing the line in a time of 15.78 to earn sixth.
Also improving his time from Friday's prelims was
John Condon who finished the 800 Meter Run in a time of 1:54.00 to earn third and improve his place on the Messiah Top Ten List to ninth.
Noah Keitel had a new personal best mark of 13.21 meters in the Triple Jump to earn eighth and help secure the team victory for Messiah.
John Steele finished in 10th with a mark of 12.85 meters and
Landon Kerr jumped a season-best 12.45 meters.
In the 400 Meter Hurdles,
Derek Heisey crossed the line in fourth after running a time of 56.22.
The final event on the track was the 4x400 Meter Relay. The team of

John Condon combined for a season-best time of 3:25.92 to earn eighth place.
