Fast Pace First Half
The Falcons could not contain the Blazers offense as they went on to score 53 points in the half. Hood got it going early jumping out to an early 10-5 lead. However, a couple of points from
Evan Parker and
Dylan Cuperus kept the score close. Following a
Caleb Thompson layup, the Blazers began to extend their lead to as a large as eight. Down 19-11 with 12 minutes remaining the Falcons started to claw back into the game cutting the deficit to 21-16 with 10 minutes on the clock. The Blazers would go on to open a 14-point lead 34-20 with just under six minutes left in the half. Despite
Bryce Coletti heating up from downtown to finish the half, it would not be enough as the Falcons would find themselves down 53-39 at half.
Second Half Offensive Struggles
The Falcons managed to cut the deficit to 15 five minutes into the second half. However, the Blazers offensive proved to be too much for the Falcons who never got anything going. The Blazers limited the Falcons to 32.8 percent shooting from the field despite surrendering 14 threes on the day. Messiah had 11 different players find the bottom of the net throughout the game, with
Bryce Coletti leading the way with 20 points shooting 6-12 from the field and 5-9 from beyond the arc.
