Chelsea Carpenter was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 13. Carpenter scored her first and second career goals and added an assist in Messiah's victory over Eastern University.
Chelsea Carpenter earned the player of the week honor after leading Messiah with five points in the Falcons' 7-0 road win over Eastern University. In the second quarter, Carpenter received a pass and drove towards the post before slotting the ball past a defender. Later in the quarter, Carpenter stripped the ball from a defender and fired the ball past the approaching goalie for her second goal of the game. She added an assist on the Falcons' seventh goal of the game.
