GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah women's tennis team hosted the Red Devils of Dickinson College for Homecoming action on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons fell to the Red Devils with a score of 7-0 in the non-conference match up.
Messiah is next in action on Saturday, October 12th, when they host the Golden Bears of Kutztown University. Action is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Criste Courts.
Doubles Action
In #1 doubles,
Kylie Walker and
Bella Heckman lost with a score of 6-2.
Kiara Bomboy and
Jocelyn Valdez finished their #2 doubles match with a score of 7-6 (8-0). Wrapping up doubles play in the #3 spot were
Naomi Parson and
Izzy Ipri who battled hard but lost with a score of 6-4.
Singles Action
Kiara Bomboy and
Jocelyn Valdez dropped their sets 6-0 and 6-2 in the #1 and #4 singles matches, respectively. In the #2 match,
Kylie Walker lost her sets 6-0 and 6-1.
Bella Heckman dropped her sets 6-3 and 6-2 in the #3 singles. In the #5 singles,
Izzy Ipri lost both sets 6-0. Wrapping up singles play in the #6 match was
Katelyn Good, who dropped her sets 6-1 and 6-2.
