GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Messiah women's lacrosse fell to the No. 2 Gettysburg Bullets by a 18-3 final score on Wednesday afternoon. The Bullets scored early and often to build a 16-0 lead after three quarters of play. Messiah was able to dent the scoreboard in the final quarter with a trio of tallies.
Hannah Gawne connected on a pair of free position attempts while
Natalie Macri scored an unassisted goal for the Falcons.
The Falcons were unable to generate much offensive pressure as the Bullets outshot the Falcons 30-14.
Gettysburg pressured the Falcons consistently throughout the afternoon, holding a 13-0 lead after 30 minutes of play. The Bullets tacked on three goals in the third quarter before Messiah found the back of the cage three times in the fourth.
Messiah will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Winchester, Va. to take on the Shenandoah Hornets at 1:00 p.m.
