CARLISLE, Pa. - On a chilly Tuesday afternoon, the Dickinson Red Devils defended their home turf and earned a 7-5 victory over the Messiah baseball team. The Falcons scored three early runs across the first two frames, but were unable to hold off the Red Devils, who scored three runs in both the fourth and seventh innings to claim the non-conference contest.
Â
Luke Ott got the start in left field and led the Falcons at the dish with a 3-4 effort, knocking a triple and a pair of singles while scoring a run.
Â
The Falcons move to 11-6 on the season and will be back in action on Friday when they begin a three-game series against the Albright Lions at home. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

How It Happened
The Falcons wasted no time getting on the board on Tuesday afternoon, scoring just three batters into the game.
Joshua Ammons dropped a single into left and, after a stolen base,
Evan Wagaman drove him home with a base hit up the middle. Later in the inning, Wagaman came around to score on a
Drew Hurst RBI groundout to give Messiah a 2-0 lead after half an inning of play.
Â
The Falcons pushed that lead to 3-0 with a run in the top of the second on a sacrifice fly from
Isaiah Parido, driving home
Luke Ott who tripled earlier in the inning.
Â
Dickinson took a 4-3 lead after an RBI double in the third inning and a three-run frame in the fourth.
Â
Joshua Ammons tied things up in the top of the fifth, bringing home
Nick Moyer with an RBI double to right center.
Â
The game remained tied at 4-4 until the bottom of the seventh when the Red Devils put three runs on the board on a bases loaded walk and a two-run single. The Falcons attempted to get back in the game in the eighth, scoring a run on a
Dylan Beard RBI double. Messiah was unable to pull any closer, falling by the 7-5 final score.
