GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah University men's tennis team earned the top seed in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament and will host the Albright College Lions on Wednesday, May 1 at 3:30 p.m. The Falcons and Lions will meet for a trip to the Conference Championship Game on the line.
The second-seeded Mustangs of Stevenson University will host the Spartans of York College in the other semifinal matchup, with the winners playing in the Conference Championship match on Saturday, May 4 at the highest seed remaining.
The Falcons are making their 22nd appearance in program history to the conference tournament. The Falcons are looking to make their 14th conference championship match and seeking their 10th conference championship. The Falcons have a 19-0 record at home in the conference tournament.

No. 1 Messiah University Falcons
The Messiah University men's tennis team finished with a 7-8 overall record and a 6-0 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Falcons finished the season strong with six straight wins to end the season. The Falcons earned the top seed with a 5-4 win over Stevenson University in the second to last match of the season.

No. 4 Albright College Lions
The Albright College Lions finished the regular season with a 10-7 overall record and a 3-3 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Lions finished the season strong with four straight wins to earn the fourth seed in the conference tournament. The Lions are 4-5 on the season on the road.
This Season Against Messiah
The Lions and the Falcons met on Saturday, April 6 with the Falcons winning the match 7-2. The Lions won the third doubles and the fourth singles in their only two match wins on the day.
No. 2 Stevenson University Mustangs
The Stevenson University Mustangs are looking to head to their fifth straight MAC Commonwealth Championship match after a 6-8 record and a 5-1 record in MAC Commonwealth play in the 2023-24 season. The Mustangs finished the season strong with a 5-1 record in their final six matches. This season the Mustangs have a record of 3-2 in matches at home. In their previous meeting with the Spartans, the Mustangs won 6-3.
This Season Against Messiah
The Falcons and Mustangs met on April 25 for a battle for the number one seed. The Falcons won the match 5-4 in dramatic fashion on the final match of the day.
Michael Niemi secured the win for the Falcons in a tiebreaker on set two to secure the win for the Falcons and the top seed.
No. 3 York College Spartans
The Spartans head back to MAC Commonwealth Tournament for the second straight season after a 4-10 overall record and a 3-2 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Spartans finished the season with a 3-3 record in their last six matches to earn the third seed in the conference tournament. The Spartans this season have struggled on the road with a 1-6 record in away matches. The Spartans look to avenge their 6-3 loss to Stevenson earlier in the season.
This Season Against Messiah
The Falcons and Spartans met on April 20, with the Falcons prevailing with a 7-2 win. The Falcons won every doubles match and York's only wins came in the number two singles and the number four singles.
