GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah University men's lacrosse team earned the third seed in the 2024 MAC Commonwealth Tournament. The Falcons will travel to Owings Mills, Md. to take on the second-seeded Mustangs of Stevenson University on Wednesday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. The Falcons and Mustangs will battle in the conference semifinals with a trip to the MAC Commonwealth Championship game on the line.
The top-seeded Spartans of York College will take on the fourth-seeded Eagles of Eastern University in the other semifinal matchup, with the winners of each game advancing to the championship game that will be hosted by the highest seed remaining.
Messiah will be looking for their third conference championship in program history and their first since the 2004 season. The Falcons have made nine conference championship games in program history and looked to make their first under third year head coach
Dan Carson.
Fans should note that since this is a Middle Atlantic Conference Postseason Tournament, tickets are required for all fans. The pricing for tickets are as follows: Adults: $8, Seniors (65+) and Youth (7-17): $6, MAC Students with ID and children under six: FREE.

No. 3 Messiah University Falcons
The Messiah University men's lacrosse team finished the 2024 regular season with a 12-5 record and a 5-2 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The 12 wins are tied for the second most in the program history in a single season and is the first time the team has won 12 games since 2015. The Falcons finished the season with a perfect 7-0 record at home and finished 5-5 on the road. The Falcons offense was electric throughout the 2024 season, finishing second in the MAC Commonwealth in points per game (23.18), goals per game (14.88), and assists per game (8.29).

No. 2 Stevenson University Mustangs
The Stevenson University men's lacrosse team earned the second seed after finishing the regular season with a 11-6 overall record and a 6-1 record in the MAC Commonwealth. The Mustangs finished the season strong with an 8-1 record in their final nine games. The Mustangs went 7-2 at home and 4-4 on the road. Stevenson's offense was the top offense in the MAC Commonwealth, leading the conference in points per game (26.24), goals per game (16.29), and assists per game (9.94).
This Season Against Messiah
The Falcons and Mustangs met on April 20 and the Mustangs prevailed with a 22-9 win. A second quarter run helped the Mustangs pull away from the Falcons.
Chad Teresky led the Falcons with seven points on three goals and four assists.
No. 1 York College Spartans
The York College Spartans earned the top seed after finishing the regular season with a 10-7 record and a 7-0 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Spartans finished the regular season with seven straight wins and had one of the toughest schedules in the country with seven games against top-20 teams in their first 10 games. The Spartans defense finished second in the MAC Commonwealth with 166 goals allowed on the season.
This Season Against Messiah
The Falcons and Spartans met in the regular season finale and the Spartans prevailed in a 21-19 thrilling game. The Spartans had a strong surge in the second quarter to take a four-goal lead into the half. The Falcons comeback attempt fell short in the fourth quarter and York remained undefeated in conference play.
Bobby Berg led the Falcons with seven points on five goals and two assists.
No. 4 Eastern University Eagles
The Eastern University Eagles earned the fourth seed after a 7-10 record and a 3-4 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Eagles earned the tiebreaker over Widener and Hood to earn the fourth seed. The Eagles finished the regular season with a 3-1 record. The Eastern defense has caused the most turnovers in the MAC Commonwealth (196) and the team is second in the conference with only 289 turnovers committed on the season.
This Season Against Messiah
The Falcons and Eagles played a tight game in their matchup with the Falcons pulling away late to win 15-12.
Mike McKnelly led the Falcons with seven goals.
Chad Teresky added six points on three goals and three assists.
