Womens Tennis Ends Season in MAC Championship

READING, PA. – The Messiah womens tennis team caps their season with an 5-0 loss to No.1 Albright College in the MAC Commonwealth Championship. The Falcons finished the season 8-8 advancing to their seventh conference championship in program history. Messiahs Kiara Bomboy finished her freshman campaign going 11-2 overall, while her fellow teammate and freshman Jocelyn Valdez finished 9-2 overall on the season.

How It Happened:
Doubles:
The Falcons couldn't get on the board in doubles, as the Lions went on to win all three courts. Following a court one loss, Kiara Bomboy / Jocelyn Valdez found themselves in a close match, as the team battled to give Messiah their first court win the duo came up short losing 8-6. On the last court to finish Kylie Walker / Rebekah Sheaffer fought hard forcing a tie breaker set. However, the team couldn't pull out a win, losing the court 8-7 (11/9).

Singles:
Singles courts went down in order. Court one saw Kasi Conjack fall 6-1, 6-0. Down 4-0 needing a miraculous comeback, it came down to Kylie Walkers court two match. However, despite fighting hard in set one losing 6-4, the match would ultimately end after a 6-0 set two win.
