The Red Dragons enter the NCAA Tournament with a 14-2-4 overall record. The Red Dragons opened the season with a 5-2-3 record with their only losses coming against two ranked teams. The Red Dragons finished the season strong with a 9-0-2, including a 3-2 win over Plattsburgh in the SUNYAC Championship game to earn the automatic bid. The Red Dragons had an impressive 7-1-2 record on the road this season.
The Red Dragons defense ranks as one of the top units in the country. The Red Dragons rank eighth with a .750 shutout percentage, 19th with a .890 save percentage, and 23rd with a .450 goals-against average.
