MIDDLETOWN, PA. – On Saturday evening, the Messiah University women's basketball used a dominant effort to defeat the Lions of Penn St. Harrisburg. The Falcons started the game strong with a 17-9 lead after the first quarter. The Falcons continued to roll in the second quarter with a 10-1 run to start the quarter and 7-2 run to end the second to give the Falcons a 34-15 lead at the break. The Falcons opened the second half strong, outscoring the Lions by seven in the third to take a 52.26 lead heading into the final quarter. The Falcons closed the game strong, outscoring the Lions by four to give the Falcons the 63-33 win.
Liv Monturo led the Falcons with 18 points and six rebounds.
EmmyFaith Wood totaled 11 points, five rebounds, and two steals.
Charlotte Milanesi added eight points, eight assists, five rebounds, and two steals.

First Quarter
The Falcons opened the game strong with a 9-2 run in the first five minutes of the game.
Charlotte Milanesi started the run with a layup and
Hope Cook capped off the run with a three. After five-straight points from the Lions, the Falcons responded with a 8-2 run to give the Falcons a 17-9 lead at the end of the first.
Liv Monturo and
EmmyFaith Wood each tallied three points for the Falcons during the run to close the first.
Second Quarter
The Falcons once again started a quarter strong with a 10-1 run to give the Falcons a 27-10 lead with six minutes remaining in the half.

EmmyFaith Wood ended the run with a layup. After a Lions three, the Falcons closed the half with a 7-2 run to extend their lead to 34-15 at the break.

Third Quarter
The Falcons continued to roll with a 12-1 run in the first six minutes of the third to extend their lead to 46-16.
Liv Monturo totaled five points.
April Kauffeldt scored four points, and
Charlotte Milanesi added three points for the Falcons during the run. After a basket from Monturo and a free from
Brooke Fenchel, the Lions went on a quick 6-0 run to reduce the Falcons lead to 25 with less than a minute remaining in the half.
EmmyFaith Wood scored three points, and the Lions scored a layup in the rest of the third to put the score at 52-26 headed into the final quarter.
Fourth Quarter
The Falcons opened the fourth with a 9-2 to push the Falcons lead to 33 with 6:40 remaining in the game.
Liv Monturo and
Brooke Fenchel scored a basket, and
Charlotte Milanesi drained a three for the Falcons during the run. After four straight points from the Lions,
Alison Jensen hit a pair of free throws to close the scoring for the game and give the Falcons the 63-33 win.
