No. 4 Women’s Soccer MAC Commonwealth Tournament Preview

GRANTHAM, Pa. – The fourth-ranked Messiah University women's soccer team earned the top seed in the 2025 MAC Commonwealth Tournament after finishing the 2025 season with a perfect 7-0 record in conference play. The top-seeded Falcons host the fourth-seeded Eagles of Eastern University on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 6:00 p.m. on Shoemaker Field. Check out the MAC Commonwealth Tournament preview below.

No. 1 Messiah University Falcons

17-2 Overall Record, 7-0 MAC Commonwealth

Season Recap
The fourth-ranked Falcons finished the regular season with a 17-2 overall record and a perfect 7-0 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Falcons enter the tournament with a 9-1 record on Shoemaker Field with the only loss coming against Penn St. Harrisburg on Oct. 14. The Falcons enter the tournament on a five-game winning streak, outscoring opponents 16-0 in those five games.
 
The Falcons sit atop the MAC Commonwealth with 53 goals scored on the season. The Falcons defense also ranks as the top unit in the conference with only five goals allowed all season. The Falcons cruised in conference play outscoring opponents 24-1.

No. 4 Eastern University Eagles

Season Recap
The Eagles finished the regular season with a 9-4-5 overall record with a 3-2-2 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Eagles enter the tournament with a 5-3 record on the road this season. Eastern enters Tuesday with a 2-0-2 record in the last four games.
 
The Eagles rank third in the MAC Commonwealth with 25 goals scored. Eastern is also ranked tied for second with 11 goals allowed on the season. The Eagles' defense has been impressive all season allowing only six goals outside of the Messiah game.

The Falcons cruised to a 5-1 win at Eastern on Oct. 10. Addi Martin led the Falcons with two goals. Hannah Adair, Nikki Davis, and Brittany Laird each added a goal for the Falcons.
 

No. 2 York College Spartans

13-4-2 Overall Record, 6-1 MAC Commonwealth

Season Recap
The Spartans finished the regular season with a 13-4-2 overall record with a 6-1 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Spartans enter the tournament with a 7-3 record at home and a 6-1-2 record on the road. The Spartans enter Tuesday with an 8-1 record in the last nine games.
 
The Spartans rank second in the MAC Commonwealth with 41 goals scored on the season. The Spartan's defense has also been impressive, allowing only 11 goals all season. During the final nine games, the Spartans have outscored opponents 24-2.

This Season Against Messiah
The Falcons defeated the Spartans, 1-0 on Oct. 29. Addi Martin scored the game-winning goal in the 15th minute, and the Falcons defense shut down the Spartans offense the rest of the way to earn the win and the top-seed in the conference tournament.
 

No. 3 Stevenson University Mustangs

8-5-5 Overall Record, 4-3 MAC Commonwealth

Season Recap
The Mustangs ended the regular season with an 8-5-5 overall record with a 4-3 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Mustangs enter the tournament with a 2-3-4 record on the road this season. The Mustangs enter Tuesday with a 3-3 record in the last six games.
 
The Mustangs ranked fifth in the MAC Commonwealth with 18 goals scored on the season. The Stevenson defense allowed 13 goals on the season, which ranked fourth in the conference. The Mustang defense has allowed one or less goals in 16 of the Mustangs' 18 games.
