2024 Season Recap
The Falcons finished the 2024 season with a 35-11 overall record and a 19-2 record in MAC Commonwealth play. Messiah won 35 games, which is the most in program history since beginning play in 1965. The Falcons fell to Alvernia in the MAC Commonwealth Championship series to end their 2024 season. Even with the 35 wins, the Falcons did not receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
2025 Roster Outlook
The Falcons lost three key players including All-American pitcher
Nathan Stein but are returning a solid lineup for the 2025 season. Returning to the Falcons outfield is the 2024 MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year,
Isaiah Parido, along with first team All-MAC Commonwealth right fielder
Evan Wagaman.
Luke Ott, a 2024 All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention and key fourth outfielder
David Martinez also return for the Falcons. The infield returns several starters, including 2024 All-Conference honorees,
Dustin Isanogle,
Drew Hurst,
Nick Moyer, and
Dylan Beard. Returning on the mound for the Falcons are All-Conference honorees,
Jason Long and
Noah Barrall.
Christian Foltz,
Julian Butler, and
Chris Beatty Jr. all look to expand their roles in the Falcons rotation and bullpen this season. The Falcons have many newcomers that look to add to the Falcons already loaded roster, but transfers
Daniel Knight,
Cristian Reyna, and
Matt Luchovick all look to make an immediate impact in 2025.
2025 Schedule Preview
The Falcons open the 2025 season on the road at Christopher Newport University on Friday, Feb. 14 at 2:00 p.m. The Falcons are slated to play 40 games this season with 17 games being played at home starting on Saturday, March 8 against the University of Scranton at 12:00 p.m. The Falcons play multiple preseason top 25 teams including, No. 11 Christopher Newport, No. 16 Randolph-Macon, No. 6 Johns Hopkins University, No. 25 Penn State Harrisburg, and No. 7 Salisbury. The Falcons open MAC Commonwealth play against Alvernia University on Friday, March 14 at 3:30 p.m.
