HILTON HEAD, S.C. - On Thursday morning, the Falcons dropped a tough contest to the Hornets of Lynchburg University 4-1. Lynchburg was able to capture two of the three doubles courts to secure the doubles point. During singles action, only four courts finished in the day, as the Hornets won three of the four over Messiah.

How It Happened:
Doubles:
The courts finished in order during double play as Kylie Walker / Bella Heckman dropped court one 6-2. Kiara Bomboy / Jocelyn Valdez court finished next as they suffered the 6-2 loss as well. Calla Stoltzfus / Naomi Parson rounded out doubles with a nice 6-3 win over their opponents. 

Singles:
Trailing 1-0 in the match, the Falcons were hoping to finish singles strong and pull out a match win. Jocelyn Valdez managed to take set one 6-3, but unfortunately dropped the next two. 3-6, 7-10. 

Kiara Bomboy provided some life for the Falcons winning her court 6-4, 6-4 now trailing 2-1 in the overall match. However, despite the win Kylie Walker could not squeak out a win taking set one 6-4 but dropped set two 4-6 and the third set 5-10. Bella Heckmans court was the last to finish as she fell to her opponent 2-6, 4-6.
