LEBANON, PA. - On Wednesday afternoon, the Messiah Men's tennis team picked up a narrow victory over Lebanon Valley College to move to one game under 500. The Falcons were able to pick up the early 1-0 lead after winning two of the three courts in doubles play. Throughout singles action, the Falcons would split the first two courts bringing the overall score to 2-1. However, two big wins on courts three and six gave Messiah the 4-1 lead securing the win, despite Lebanon Valley winning on courts four and one.

Doubles:
The Falcons picked up a point in doubles play after

Elijah Noll earned a 6-2 win to open up the match. While on court two,
Timothy Sheaffer /
Brady Hahn earned a 6-3 win to hand the Falcons the one point lead in the match.
Singles:
Despite suffering a court two loss to open up singles,
Elijah Noll picked up his teammates with a court five (6-2, 6-3) win over his opponent.
Lance Wilson and
Michael Sell followed Noll up with two big wins on courts three and six.
Lance Wilson defeated his opponent (7-5, 6-2) than
Luke Risser won his court (6-1, 7-6(7-3)) to give Messiah the 4-1 lead. The Falcons would drop courts four and one, but by that point the match had already been secured for Messiah.
