Both teams went scoreless in the sixth and seventh, with Drew Dellinger working out of a bases loaded jam in the sixth and then pitching a scoreless frame in the seventh.

The Bullets however, scored an unearned run on a Falcons error in the top of the eighth to take a 3-2 lead. The Falcons though responded quickly with Evan Wagaman hitting another two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth after another Drew Hurst single to give the Falcons a 4-3 lead.

The Bullets though scored a run in the top of the ninth off a double to tie the game at four and after the Falcons went scoreless in the bottom of the ninth, the game headed to extra innings.
