LEXINGTON, Ky. – On Monday afternoon, the American Volleyball Coaches Association released the 2025 AVCA Division III Men's Regional Awards. Messiah earned five honors with four Falcons being named to the Region III All-Region team and Head Coach
Justin Beachy being named the Region III Coach of the Year.
Conner Stauffer earns his first All-Region honor after moving from outside hitter to libero for his senior season. The move proved to be effective as the senior led the conference with a 2.39 digs per set average and was second with 229 digs. Stauffer had a career high 18 digs against Stevens during the regular season. On offense, Stauffer contributed eight kills and 25 assists. Stauffer was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Middle Hitter
Ryan Givens earns his third All-Region honor after a successful senior campaign. Givens led the conference in hitting percentage with a .426 average across 86 sets played. In the season opener against Mount Union, Givens had a season high 16 kills and 10 blocks. He had collected 178 kills, 31 service aces, and 63 blocks this season. Givens' .426 hitting average is 12th in the nation.
Junior
Alex Kagoro earns his first All-Region honor at outside hitter after a successful season for the Falcons. Kagoro was second in the conference with 378 kills and tied for first with a 4.20 kills per set average. In the season opener against Mount Union, Kagoro had a season high 30 kills and 12 digs. He added 32 assists and 29 service aces on the season and contributed 21 blocks on defense with 152 digs. Kagoro's 4.20 kills per set ties him at 10th in the nation.
Setter
Brandon Sharp earns his first All-Region honor after a successful sophomore campaign. Sharp led the conference with a 10.07 assists per set average and was second overall with 926 total assists. He dished out a career high 56 assists against Mount Union in the season opener while also adding a season high six blocks that match. Sharp was second on the team with 169 digs and third on the team with 45 blocks. Sharp's 10.07 assists per set ranks seventh in the nation.
Head Coach
Justin Beachy earned Region III Coach of the Year after leading the Falcons to a 25-3 overall record with a 7-1 conference record in MAC play. Messiah finished as conference runner-up after being defeated by the Stevens Institute Ducks in the MAC Championship match. The 25 wins marks the most wins during the regular season in program history. This is the third year that the Falcons will compete in the NCAA Tournament.
