INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – On Monday afternoon, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the field for the 2025 Division III Baseball Tournament. The Messiah University baseball team will travel to Ashland, Va. at Randolph-Macon College this weekend.
The Falcons will open the double-elimination regional against the Yellow Jackets of Randolph-Macon College on Friday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. The SUNY Brockport and Methodist game will take place at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Messiah game. The losers of both games will play at 8:30 a.m. and the winners will play at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17.
Messiah earned the spot into the NCAA Tournament after winning the MAC Commonwealth Baseball Championship Series over York on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons claimed their first MAC Commonwealth Championship since 2012 and their sixth conference championship in program history. The Falcons enter the tournament with a 31-14 overall record, with an 18-3 record in MAC Commonwealth play.
Randolph-Macon earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after falling to the University of Lynchburg, 7-3 in the ODAC Championship game. The Yellow Jackets enter the tournament with a 30-15 overall record, with a 15-7 record in ODAC play. Randolph-Macon took two-of-three in an earlier three-game series against the Falcons this season.
No. 12 SUNY Brockport made the NCAA Tournament after defeating Russell Sage College in the Empire 8 Championship game. The Golden Eagles enter the tournament with a 36-3-2 overall record, with a 21-1-1 in the Empire 8
Methodist earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 10-5 win over Greensboro College in the USA South Championship game. The Monarchs enter the tournament with a 32-13 overall record, with a 16-5 record in conference play.
