GRANTHAM, Pa. – On Wednesday afternoon, the Messiah University baseball team dropped a tight game against Dickinson College, 6-4. The Falcons jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Red Devils answered with two in the top of the second to take a 2-1 lead. The Falcons tied the game in the bottom of the third with a run. The Red Devils scored two runs in the top of the seventh, but
Isaiah Parido ripped a two-run home run to tie the game at four through seven innings. The Red Devils scored two runs in the ninth and shutdown the Falcons in the bottom half, to earn the 6-4 win.
Nick Moyer led the Falcons with two hits.
Isaiah Parido hit two-run home run.
Cristian Reyna added a hit and an RBI.
Devin Aponte pitched 3.2 innings out of the pen with two strikeouts.

Dickinson 6, Messiah 4
The Falcons looked to get on the board first in the bottom of the first. With two outs,
Drew Hurst and
David Martinez both walked to put runners on first and second. During a double steal, the Dickinson catcher threw a ball away at second and Hurst came around to score to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
The Red Devils responded in the top of the second with two runs on three hits to take a 2-1 lead.
After a scoreless bottom of the second and top of the third, the Falcons looked to tie the game in the bottom of the third. After an
Isaiah Parido walk and stolen base,
Cristian Reyna hit an RBI single to left to tie the game at two.
After three scoreless innings, the Red Devils took a 4-2 lead in the top of the seventh on two solo home runs.
The Falcons looked to battle back in the bottom of the seventh. With two outs,
Landon Mark reached first on an error by the Red Devils' shortstop.
Isaiah Parido then ripped a two-run home run to tie the game at four.
After a scoreless eighth, the Red Devils took a 6-4 lead on a two-RBI double in the top of the ninth.
The Falcons hit the ball hard in the bottom half, but the ball found Dickinson fielders and the Red Devils earned the 6-4 win.
