Three Falcons Earn Player of the Week Honors

NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly aware recipients for the week ending March 1, 2026. A total of 20 student-athletes were recognized for performance from Feb. 23, 2026 to March 1, 2026. Messiah earned three honors with Drew Hurst being named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week for Baseball and the Falcons sweeping the Men's Volleyball awards with Alex Kagoro being named MAC Offensive Player of the Week and Aidan Dunwoody being named Defensive Player of the Week.

Drew Hurst powered the Falcons' offense with a .476 batting average (10 for 21), collecting two doubles, a home run, and seven RBIs. He capped the week with a perfect 5-for-5 performance against No. 22 CNU and consistently delivered in key matchups, including against nationally ranked opponents.

Alex Kagoro was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the No. 6 Falcons to a 4-0 week in a commanding way, collecting 79 kills across four matches, including a season-high 27 against Randolph-Macon. Kagoro hit .373 on the week, averaging 5.64 kills per set. He added three assists and three service aces to the box score.

Aidan Dunwoody earned MAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after collecting 29 digs in a 4-0 week for the No. 6 Falcons, including a week-high nine against Randolph-Macon. Dunwoody also added an assist in the 3-0 win over Misericordia to give Messiah a 1-0 start in conference play.
