NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending March 29, 2026. A total of 29 student-athletes were recognized for performances from March 23, 2026 to March 29, 2026. The Falcons collected a year-high seven honors.
Messiah baseball swept the MAC Commonwealth awards with
Christian Foltz named MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week while
Matt Luchovick earned MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week honors. Foltz threw a 94-pitch perfect game with nine strikeouts in a 6-0 win over Hood. This dominant performance led the Falcons to victory in game one of their Saturday doubleheader and served as the catalyst for a series sweep. Luchovick batted .571 on the week with three home runs, three doubles, and nine RBIs. His performance was highlighted by a 4-for-4 game on Sunday that included two home runs in a 13-3 win over Hood.
Owen Hammel was named the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week for men's lacrosse. Hammel led the Falcons with six points on three goals and three assists in a 16-5 win over Arcadia. He achieved a perfect shooting percentage by scoring his three goals on just three shots.
Messiah also swept the women's lacrosse honors with
Grace Pettitt earning MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week and
Grace Hejeebu earning MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week. Pettitt dominated the week with 12 goals and five assists in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. She notched a career-high seven goals in Saturday's 14-10 win over Mary Washington. Hejeebu anchored the Falcons' defense with 23 total saves and a .622 save percentage during a 2-0 week. Her efforts included a 12-save performance where she allowed only four goals against Shenandoah for a .750 save percentage in the 16-4 win.
Allie Book was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week for softball after posting a .785 batting average with 11 hits, six RBIs, and six runs scored over four games. On Thursday, she nearly hit for the cycle with two doubles, a triple, and a home run against Marymount.
Alex Kagoro was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week for men's volleyball after recording 21 kills and hitting .548 to lead the Falcons to a 3-0 sweep over Stevenson. He also contributed seven digs, three service aces, and two assists during the match.
