Men’s Tennis Falls on Road to Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Messiah Men's Tennis team was back in action today at Juniata University, falling to the Eagles 5-2. The Falcons dropped all three doubles matches to go down 1-0 and then fell on four of six singles courts.

Up next, the Falcons are back at home against York College on Tuesday, Apr. 7, at 3:30 p.m.

Doubles

Lance Wilson and Brady Hahn fell on court one to start doubles play. The team of Luke Risser and Xane Whitesel then fell 6-4 on court three, followed by Timothy Sheaffer and Elijah Noll who also fell 6-4.

Singles

Lance Wilson fell on court one in two sets to start singles. Elijah Noll the fell in two sets on court three (3-6, 5-7). Brady Hahn finished next on court two, winning in a 10-point tie break (6-3, 3-6, 10-5). Timothy Sheaffer followed with a 10-point tiebreak win on court four (6-2, 2-6, 10-5) to win the Falcons final court. Xane Whitesel fell in two sets on court six and Luke Risser fell in tightly contested 10-point tie break that required extra points (3-6, 77-62, 11-13).
