NEWTOWN, Pa. - On Monday afternoon, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced the 2026 All-Middle Atlantic Conference (All-MAC) Men's Volleyball Team. The All-MAC Men's Volleyball Team is nominated and voted on by the nine conference men's volleyball coaches. Messiah earned six all-conference honors, with a conference-high four first-team honors. The Falcons also claimed three of the four major awards with
Alex Kagoro being named MAC Player of the Year,
Aidan Dunwoody being named MAC Rookie of the Year, and Head Coach
Justin Beachy being named Coach of the Year.
Senior Outside Hitter
Alex Kagoro was named the MAC Player of the Year and picked up First Team honors for the second season in a row after an outstanding senior campaign. Kagoro led the conference with 364 kills, averaging 4.79 per set, nearly a full kill ahead of second place. He has collected 408 points, averaging 5.37 per set, also nearly a full point ahead of second. Earlier this season, Kagoro tallied his 1,000th career kill as a Falcon.
Aidan Dunwoody was named the MAC Rookie of the Year and picked up First Team honors after a successful first season as the Falcons' Libero. Dunwoody is third in the conference with 210 digs and fourth with a 2.28 digs per set average. Dunwoody is the third-straight MAC Rookie of the Year for Messiah.
Head Coach
Justin Beachy rounded out the major awards, being named the MAC Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season, and the fourth time in his career.
Joining Kagoro and Dunwoody with First Team honors were
Brandon Sharp and
Jake Eby.
Junior
Brandon Sharp was named First Team Setter for the second season in a row after leading the conference with 918 assists and 10.09 assists per set, 1.42 more assists per set ahead of the next highest. Setter notched his 2,000th career assist earlier this season.
Junior
Jake Eby earned All-Conference honors for the first time in his career after a strong season as one of the Falcons' Middle Hitters. Eby led the conference with a .426 hitting percentage, collecting 169 kills. He was fifth in the conference with 80 blocks and tied for second with .93 blocks per set.
Tyler McConnell earned his first All-Conference honors, being named to the Second Team after a successful senior campaign. The Outside Hitter averaged .236 on the season, collecting 2.86 kills per set with a total of 252. McConnell was sixth in the conference with 290 points and seventh averaging 3.30 per set.
Todd Snyder followed his Rookie of the Year season with Honorable Mention at Middle Hitter. Snyder was third in the conference with a .364 hitting percentage, collecting 155 kills. He was fourth with 80 blocks and tied for second with .93 blocks per set.
