NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending April 12, 2026. A total of 27 student-athletes were recognized for performances from April 6, 2026 to April 12, 2026. Messiah earned three honors with
Hannah Gawne being named the MAC Commonwealth Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week,
Zach Sebra being named the MAC Commonwealth Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, and
Rebekah Wiley being named MAC Commonwealth Softball Player of the Week.
Hannah Gawne was named MAC Commonwealth Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after a 2-0 week for the Falcons. She played a key factor on both ends of the field, totaling five goals, seven ground balls, and 12 draw controls. Her defensive efforts helped the Falcons outscore opponents 39-7.
Zach Sebra was named the MAC Commonwealth Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after dominating the faceoff X with an 87% win percentage and 34 total ground balls over two games. He set a program record with 27 faceoff wins in a single game while tying the program record for ground balls with 21.
Rebekah Wiley becomes the fourth Falcon to be named MAC Commonwealth Softball Player of the Week after batting .600 with 12 hits and seven RBIs to fuel a 5-1 week for Messiah. Six of her hits went for extra bases, including three doubles and three triples.
