2026 Women's Tennis MAC Commonwealth Tournament Preview

GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah Women's Tennis team is set to host the MAC Commonwealth tournament after the Falcons earned the top-seed, going 5-0 in conference play, and 11-5 overall.
 
The Falcons will begin postseason action against the No. 4 seed Stevenson University Mustangs, who come to Grantham for a semi-final contest on Tuesday, Apr. 28, at 3:30 p.m. In the regular season matchup between the two teams, Messiah won 7-0 without dropping a single set on all nine courts. In the other semi-final, No. 2 Albright College will host No. 3 York College for a spot in the MAC Commonwealth final. Check out the tournament preview below.

No. 1 Messiah University Falcons
11-5 Overall Record, 5-0 MAC Commonwealth

 
Season Recap
The Falcons end the regular season going 11-5 overall, with a perfect 5-0 mark in conference play. The Falcons started the year going 1-2 in the Fall portion of the season but used a strong 3-1 week during their annual Spring break trip to jumpstart their season. The Falcons then won seven of their last eight matches heading into postseason action.

Season Recap
The Mustangs won their lone match in the Fall and then won their first match of the Spring to move too 2-0. However, the Mustangs would drop their next five matches but ended the season on a 3-3 run to finish 5-8.

No. 2 Albright College Lions
12-4 Overall Record, 4-1 MAC Commonwealth

 
Season Recap
The Lions went 3-2 during the Fall slate of their season and split their first two matches of the Spring to move to 4-3. The Lions then went on an eight-game winning streak before falling to Messiah University in their regular season finale to finish 12-4.
