WINCHESTER, Va. – This weekend, the Messiah University baseball team heads to Winchester, Va. for the 2026 NCAA Regionals. The Falcons open the double-elimination regional against the Transylvania University Pioneers on Friday, May 15 at 2:30 p.m.
The No. 6 Hornets of Shenandoah University will face the Farmingdale State College Rams at 11:00 a.m. to open the regional bracket.

Tickets are available online through Hometown Ticketing. General Admission is available for $11 each day. A Regional Weekend Pass is available for $26. This event has a no refund policy.

Messiah University Falcons
32-12 Overall Record, Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Champions
The Falcons enter the NCAA Tournament with a 32-12 overall record with a 19-2 record in MAC Commonwealth play. Messiah started the season 3-6 in conference play before going 2-1 against Widener to open Commonwealth play. The Falcons then went 20-3 as they cruised through conference play. The Falcons swept the final regular season conference series against Alvernia, claiming the top spot in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament for the second year in a row.
The Falcons took game one of the MAC Commonwealth Semifinals against York with a 12-5 win before the Spartans forced a game three with a 6-5 win. The Falcons earned the close 4-3 victory in game three to advance to the Commonwealth Championship series. Messiah defeated Widener 11-3 in the first game before a much closer game two. The Falcons took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first before the Pride tallied a run in the top of the second to cut the lead to one. It became a defensive battle as neither team scored another run and the Falcons held on for the 2-1 lead to earn their second straight MAC Commonwealth Championship.
Messiah is tied for 21st in the nation with 125 stolen bases.

Transylvania University Pioneers

The Pioneers enter the tournament with a 29-12 overall record with an 18-4 record in HCAC play. The Pioneers opened the season with a 7-6 record in non-conference play before opening their conference slate 6-0. The Pioneers continued strongly through conference play, to earn a record of 18-4 to claim the two seed. They used three strong wins at 11-1, 11-4, and 11-2 to finish as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Champions.
Transylvania is third in the nation with 148 stolen bases.

The Rams enter the tournament with a 27-9 overall record and 16-4 record in conference play. They opened the season 6-5 in non-conference play before beginning Skyline play 0-4. The Rams then won 18 straight games, including 16 conference games, to end the regular season 24-9. In the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament, the Rams defeated Merchant Marine 3-2 before securing a 10-4 win over St. Joseph's – Long Island. They claimed the SCC Championship with a 5-2 win over Merchant Marine.
