GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah Women's Tennis team saw their season come to an end earlier this afternoon, falling in the MAC Commonwealth Championship to Albright College, 4-1. The Lions took two doubles courts to earn the doubles point, before rolling in singles to win the MAC Commonwealth Championship.
The Falcons finish the season 12-6, going 5-0 in MAC Commonwealth play in the regular season to earn the tournament's top seed.
Doubles
Susan Arp and
Isabella Ipri fell on court two 6-2, but
Taryn Zerby and
Kiara Bomboy won 6-2 on court one to send it to a winner take all court three.
Bella Heckman and
Kylie Walker then fell in a tough match on court three, 6-4, giving Albright the doubles point.
Singles
Kiara Bomboy fell in two sets on court one (4-6, 1-6).
Kylie Walker then fell in two sets on court four (3-6, 3-6).
Taryn Zerby then got the Falcons lone point, winning in two sets on court two (6-3, 6-2). However,
Katelyn Good would fall in two sets on court six (3-6, 5-7), ending the match, with Albright winning the MAC title.
