BEREA, Ohio – This weekend the Messiah University Baseball team heads to Berea, Ohio for their second straight NCAA Tournament Super Regional appearance. The Falcons will play a best-of-three series against the 10th – ranked Yellow Jackets of Baldwin Wallace University starting at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22.

Friday, May 22
Game One: Baldwin Wallace vs Messiah: 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 23
Game Two: Messiah vs, Baldwin Wallace: 11:00 a.m.
Game Three (if necessary): Baldwin Wallace vs. Messiah: 45 minutes after Game Two

Fans, please noted that due to it being an NCAA Tournament game, tickets much be purchased each day for attendance to the games. Fans can purchase tickets here. Prices for tickets are: General Admission: #11, Senior Citizens (62+), Students, Children, Military & Veterans: $6. Online tickets are preferred but on-site cash sales will be available. Price includes fees for both online and on-site tickets.

Fans should also note that there are no animals allowed within the facility. Only service animals will be permitted inside ticket area.

Messiah University Falcons

The Falcons earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning the MAC Commonwealth Championship Series over Widener University. The Falcons have a 36-13 overall record with a 19-2 record in MAC Commonwealth play this season entering the Super Regionals. The Falcons were dominant at home, earning a 21-3 record while a little more level on the road at 12-9.

During the 2025 season, the Falcons went in a historic run, finishing as the Division III Runner-Up after earning the programs first trip to the Super Regionals and Division III World Series. The Falcons return to the Super Regionals for the second straight season after battling back in the losers' brackets after dropping their first game of the Regional Tournament. Messiah dropped their opening game 8-6 to Transylvania University to head to the losers' bracket. The Falcons jumped to an early 12-2 lead against Farmingdale State in the elimination game before the Rams begin battling back. The Falcons tallied some late runs to maintain the 16-12 win before facing Transylvania in the second elimination game of the weekend on Saturday night. The Pioneers held a 3-2 lead after five innings before the Falcons added three in the top of the sixth before three and a half scoreless innings gave Messiah the win and advanced them to the Championship Series against host No. 11 Shenandoah.

The Falcons took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second and never looked back. The Hornets brought it within one run twice but were unable to defeat the Falcons, forcing a Game Seven. Messiah earned a dominant 13-0 win in Game Seven after tallying four runs in the bottom of the first before scoring at least one run in every inning but the seventh for the commanding victory to punch their ticket to their second-straight Super Regional.

The Yellow Jackets earned an automatic qualification into the NCAA Tournament after winning the OAC Championship Tournament with a 3-1 record in play. Baldwin Wallace opened the tournament with a 17-3 win over Ohio Northern before downing Mount Union 9-2. In the first game of the Championship Series, Ohio Northern claimed a 12-7 win to force a Game Seven. The Yellow Jackets claimed a 5-1 win to earn the OAC title and the automatic qualifier. Baldwin Wallace holds an 11-1 record at home.

Baldwin Wallace opened the Regional Tournament with a 9-3 win over Wartburg (Iowa) before claiming a 5-4 win over Wisconsin-La Crosse to remain in the winner's bracket. On Sunday, the Yellow Jackets faced Wartburg (Iowa) and claimed an 11-1 win to advance to the Super Regional.
