GRANTHAM, Pa. – On Wednesday morning, the Messiah University Athletic Department welcomes back
Brandon West to Grantham as the Women's Soccer Associate Head Coach and Assistant Director of Compliance and Internal Operations after he spent the last five seasons as the Head Coach of Penn St. Harrisburg.
Brandon West returns to Grantham after a five-year stint with the Lions of Penn St. Harrisburg. West most recently took the Lions to their first NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance in program history in 2025. West coached one All-American, 13 All-Region honorees, two Conference Players of the Year, and 39 All-Conference honors in his time at Penn St. Harrisburg.
West also spent three-years coaching at Liberty University and was the Head Coach at Eastern University, where he took the Eagles to the postseason in both of his seasons, after the Eagles missed the playoffs the previous five years. After graduating Messiah, he also helped coach the Messiah men's soccer team in 2015 and 2016.
West graduated from Messiah in 2015 and led the Falcons in goal to back-to-back National Championships in 2012 and 2013. West posted 25 shutouts, with 67 wins, and a goals-against average of 0.39, which ranks second in Messiah program history.

Coach West has proven himself to be a great recruiter and has a real passion for the game and a strong desire to continuously grow in his knowledge and ability to teach the game. Most importantly, Coach West has a passion for Messiah University and the soccer program. As a former Messiah men's player and coach, he knows the uniqueness of Messiah soccer as we look to have a program that not only excels at the highest level in NCAA Division III but also nurture and develop young woman in their desire to follow Christ."

Messiah holds such a special place in my heart and to be able to come back here and coach is a dream come true. To be able to compete at the highest level of DIII Women's Soccer while intertwining faith is something I am truly passionate about. Messiah gave me so much as a student athlete here and it also was the first place that got me into college coaching so to be able to come back is truly a blessing. I am excited to get started."
