LOUISVILLE, Ky. – On Wednesday afternoon, the Easton and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announce their 2026 Top Academic Teams and Scholar Athletes. The Messiah University softball team was named to the Top Academic Honors list, and eight Falcons were named DIII Scholar Athletes.

The Messiah softball team finished the 2026 season with a team GPA of 3.43, which earned them a spot on the Top Academic Team list. Teams needed a 3.0 GPA or higher to qualify for the academic team list. The Falcons also had eight players named to the Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Scholar Athlete team, athletes needed a 3.5 GPA or higher for academic year.
