Biography
2012 Season - Senior
In Rachel's final year as a Falcon she was the captain of the team, and a leader on defense. She recorded 52 groundballs (2nd in the Commonwealth), 55 draw controls, and 37 caused turnovers (1st in the Commonwealth). She also scored four goals and had five assists for nine points. Rachel was named a First Team All-Commonwealth performer in 2012. Furthermore, Rachel earned First Team All-Region honors by the IWLCA.
In causing 37 turnovers, Rachel became the Falcons' all-time leader in the category (150 career).
2011 Season - Junior
In her junior year Rachel was easily the Falcons best defender with 61 groundballs, 73 assists and 47 caused turnovers. She added 12 goals offensively and six assists for for 18 points, good for tenth on the team.
2010 Season - Sophomore
Started all 17 games in the midfield. Rachel cored 23 goals on 48 shots and tallied 32 points. She earned First Team All-MAC honors in 2010.
2009 Season - Freshman
Rachel saw action in 18 games and started in 14 for Messiah. She scored 21 goals on 56 shots and assisted on eight others. Rachel lead the team with five game winning goals as a freshman.
Personal
Rachel Ann Coyle majored in nursing and graduated in the spring of 2012.
