Biography

2014 Season - Senior
Mike started in 23 games for Messiah. He scored 10 goals on 49 shots, while also recording eight assists. He had five game winning goals. Mike was named Second Team All-Commonwealth.

2013 Season - Junior
Kovach played and started in 24 of 26 games this season, scored six goals and assisted on 10 for 22 points. He took 29 shots and scored one game-winner.

Mike earned Honorable Mention All-Conference this season.

2012 Season - Sophomore
Mike appeared in all 25 games and started in 16. He scored 13 goals on 46 shots and sent the Falcons into the National Championship game with his OT goal against Loras College in the semi-finals.  At the 2012 National Championship, Kovach was named to the All-Tournament Team and Offensive MVP. In the Commonwealth Conference, he earned Second Team All-Conference recognition.

2011 Season - Freshman
Mike appeared in all 20 games and started in one. He had two goals on 16 shots, and one was the winning goal against Desales University.

Personal
Michael Steven Kovach is majoring in Health & Exercise Science. His favorite athletic moment is scoring in overtime against Loras in the 2012 Final Four. His favorite food is chicken pot pie and favorite ice cream flavor is Heath Bar. Mike's favorite TV show is Game of Thrones and favorite movie is Fight Club. His future plans are to play soccer in Ireland with the Shamrock Rovers FC.
