At Messiah University, the women’s lacrosse program is looking for individuals who want to pursue athletic excellence and develop a strong Christian character. As a high-quality, Christ-centered lacrosse program we seek top-level players who are committed to both following Christ and working hard towards continued athletic success.
THE RECRUITING PROCESS
It is important for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to understand this process so they can be fully considered for our program. For players interested in pursuing our program, follow these steps:
1. Contact Head Coach Heather McKay at hmckay@messiah.edu
2. Fill out our Recruit Questionnaire (located below)
3. Email Head Coach Heather McKay a copy of your summer and fall club ball schedules.
4. Visit our campus! Click here to schedule a visit. The admission counselors are eager to help schedule a day visit on campus, including a meeting between you and Coach McKay.
5. Attend one of our prospect days or summer camp! Click here to register for one of our upcoming events.
6. Send us your game film. Email us a link to any clips/video you have of yourself playing and make sure to clearly identify yourself.
7. Plan to make it to one of our games. Doing so will give you the chances to see our team in action and see firsthand the level of passion that we require of our players. View our season’s schedule here.
