Jen Jacobs

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
  • Alma Mater
    Messiah '94

Jen Jacobs returns to the sideline in 2020 for her 22nd season with the Messiah field hockey program.

Jacobs works primarily as the goalkeeper coach, and her individual skill instruction, tactical decision-making, and conditioning leadership has proven pivotal for the Falcons' on-field success. To that end, Jacobs' work with Shelby Landes was on full display in the Falcons' 2016 National Championship and penalty shootout win over Tufts. In the shootout, Landes' individual effort turned away three attempts from the Jumbos, and she forced another shot wide to help Messiah win the shootout, 2-1.

A 1994 graduate of Messiah, Jen holds a degree in Health and Physical Education. Upon graduation, she worked for two years at the Mechanicsburg Intermediate School before working for two years in the Boiling Springs School District.

Jacobs is a homemaker and also does freelance acting and modeling. Jen and her husband, Ric, were married in 1996, and they have three sons, Eric, Marcus, and Bennett, and two daughters, Julia and Annie.  They reside in nearby Dillsburg, Pa.
