Kourtney (Ehly) Joyce returns to Messiah field hockey in 2024, her 8th-straight season as assistant coach.
Joyce was a four-year star player for the Falcons from 2008-2011. During her career, Joyce played in two National Championships and was a three-time NFHCA First Team All-American ('09, '10, '11).
In Messiah program history, Joyce ranks ninth in career goals (60), seventh in career assists (27), and ninth in career points (147). She can also claim the second-best season in terms of goal scoring and third-best in terms of points, as in her sophomore year she recorded career-highs of 29 goals and 69 points.
"Playing for Messiah was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life," Joyce said. “I’m so honored and grateful to be back and part of the coaching staff. My passion is to encourage and empower our players in hopes that they, too, can look back on their time here with immense joy and gratitude."
Joyce grew up in Boiling Springs, Pa (she’s a proud Bubbler!) and now resides in Mechanicsburg with her husband, Brian, and their two daughters, Kali and Zoey.
