Shelby Landes returns to the Messiah field hockey team in 2024, her 3rd season serving in the role as goalkeeper coach.
Landes graduated in 2019 from Messiah and played all four seasons of field hockey as the starting goalkeeper. During her career, she appeared in two elite eight matches (2015, 2018), finished national champion in 2016 and national runner-up in 2017.
“I am excited to continue to pour into the program and watch our student athletes mature in Christ as they continue on their journey,” Landes said, “it’s a privilege to be back with the team and continue watching God work through the program.”

During her career, Landes played in 89 games and had a record of 80-9. She finished with a career goals against average of .68 and a save percentage of .703. She was named All-MAC Commonwealth all four seasons and was named to the NFHCA Second Team All-South Atlantic Region during the 2016 national championship season.
