Jeremiah Runkle returns to Messiah as an assistant coach for his four year with the Falcons in the 2019-20 season. He will focus primarily on coaching the post players.
Runkle transferred in to play for coach Van Pelt in 2010. In his two seasons with the Falcons, he was a regular starter at center and was a prolific rebounder in the post. As a junior, he averaged 7.8 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game, along with recording 25 blocks on the year, starting in 15 games and averaging 22 minutes per contest. His final year saw an uptick in rebounds, increasing to 8.6 per game to go along with 7.4 ppg, as he started in 18 games and averaged 31 mpg.
