Justin Sosinsky enters his second season as the graduate assistant coach for the Messiah's men's basketball program in 2018-19. The Princeton, Wis. native comes to the Falcons after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at Division III Ripon College while earning his undergraduate degree in elementary education.
While at Ripon, Sosinsky gained a wealth of coaching experience in all aspects of a top D-III men's basketball program, with recruiting as a top responsibility. During his three years with the program, the team compiled a 50-24 record and made the Midwest Conference Tournament all three seasons. Sosinsky also coached one All-American (2x), one conference player of the year (3x), four all-conference players, three 1,000 point scorers, and Ripon's all-time leading scorer. Last year, the Red Hawks won the conference tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, while leading the nation in field goal percentage (.516) and 3-point field goal percentage (.452).
Along with coaching at Ripon in the past three years, Sosinsky coached boys AAU teams (13U, 14U, and 15U) for the Wisconsin Blizzard.
Sosinsky has recently moved to Mechanicsburg, and as a graduate student at Messiah he will be pursuing his Master's in Higher Education with a concentration in College Athletics Leadership.
