Biography
2013-2014 Season - Junior
Hoy started a career-high 23 games and led the Falcons with a 35.2 minutes per game average. Among his impressive statistics was a career-best 43.4% shooting from three-point range and a team-leading 96 assists.
2012-2013 Season - Sophomore
As a sophomore, Zachary appeared in 24 games, starting in 21 of them. He shot an impressive .448 percent on the season. Hoy collected 79 total rebounds on the year, and had 39 steals for Messiah. He averaged 12.2 points per game.
2011-2012 Season - Freshman
During his rookie season with the Falcons, Zac played in every game and started in one of them. He played a significant role as Messiah's backup point guard and was a threat on both the defensive and offensive ends. Hoy average over seven points per game and dished out 61 assists from the point guard spot. He grabbed 45 rebounds and shot .730 from the free throw line. Hoy also tallied 18 steals during his first year at Messiah.
Personal
Zachary Patrick Hoy is from Mifflinburg, Pa., and was an All-Conference performer for Mifflinburg High School. His best basketball memory was winning the district championship with his dad as the head coach. His hobbies include playing other sports, watching sports, hanging out with friends, and playing card games. He admires his parents the most. His favorite food is chicken fingers and his favorite TV shows are How The Office, and Criminal Minds. His favorite vacation spot is Chicago, Ill. In Zac's iPod you will find pretty much everything. Here at Messiah Zac is a Sport Management and Marketing major. His future plans are to go into coaching or working in college or professional sports.
