The 2017-18 year marks Andrew Johnson's fifth season as the top assistant coach with the Falcons, and ninth-straight season overall that he's been on the field. A 2013 graduate of Messiah, Johnson earned his degree in Sport Management while completing a four-year career on the turf.
During Johnson's time as an undergrad he helped the program to MAC Commonwealth Tournament appearances in both 2010 and 2011, serving primarily as a defensive short stick specialist. He's now helped them reach two-straight MAC Commonwealth Championships as the Falcons continue to rise in the region.
In addition to serving as an assistant coach, Johnson serves as the director of operations for Peixtin Lacrosse. Peixtin is a company devoted to growing the sport of lacrosse in the central Pennsylvania area through clinics, travel teams and recruiting showcases.
Johnson is originally from Rancocas Valley High School in Westampton, N.J., where he earned a Second Team All-Conference recognition as a senior. He and his wife, Megan '13, currently reside in Harrisburg, Pa.
