Kevin Dennstaedt joins the coaching staff at Messiah in 2020 for the second-straight season as an alumnus who enjoyed one of the most decorated careers during his playing days as a Falcon.

Dennstaedt was a four-time 1st Team All-MAC selection as a midfielder, and as a senior he was named to the USILA All-American Team. Dennstaedt made an impact on the lacrosse field which put him in Messiah’s record book. He currently stands in 5th place all-time for career points (183), goals (125) and face-off wins (323).  He ranks third in career ground balls (306) and shots taken (394), and owns the eigth spot for career assists (58), face-off win percentage (57.3%) and shots per game (6.3). As a player, he took part in two MAC Championships, and helped lead his team to two appearances in the NCAA tournament in 2001 and 2004. 

Coach Dennstaedt is originally from Annapolis, Md. where he graduated from Annapolis Area Christian School as a three-sport athlete. He currently resides in Mechanicsburg, Pa. with his wife Joanna who was also an All-American for the women’s lacrosse program at Messiah, and their four children.

Kevin will work with the Falcon’s goal tenders, and provide a wealth of experience to the team’s midfielders and face-off specialists.
