Alex Quigley

Coach Alex Quigley is in his 18th season as Messiah University assistant coach in 2023. Quigley is the primary coach assigned to the Falcons' pitchers and catchers.

Under his tutelage the Messiah pitching staff has been honored with multiple All-American honors, including Courtney Allen '16 who was named NFCA Second Team All-American in 2016. He has been teaching pitchers for close to 20 years, doing guest clinics throughout central Pa., as well as doing private lessons to many of the area's most successful pitchers, several of whom have received DI scholarships.

Prior to joining Coach Weaver's staff, he was the head coach and pitching coach at Boiling Springs High School from 1997 to 2005, where his teams had a combined record of 127-61, winning 3 league titles, and participating in district play in each of the 9 seasons. 

In addition to his duties as pitching coach and catching coach, Alex coordinates the softball recruiting, as well as assists in hitting technique and in-game strategy. Coach Weaver says, "Alex is a vital part of this program. He is involved in almost every aspect of the program. He is key from the recruiting process all the way to game time. He has successfully coached our pitchers and catchers and their accolades speak for themselves. We couldn't do it without him."

Residing in Carlisle, Pa, Alex currently serves as the Information's System Manager for the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC, the Facilities Manager for Murata Business Center, a business incubator owned and operated by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber with the facility located in Carlisle.

Alex is married with one child, Jen, who played second base for Coach Weaver and Messiah from 2000-04 where she had a career batting average of .312 in 151 games for the Falcons.
