Amanda Jones enters her fourth season with the Falcons in the 2025 season after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Covenant College. Before coaching at Covenant College, Jones spent a year coaching at Dallastown Area High School.
Jones was a three-time Regional All-American at shortstop for the Falcons. She finished her senior season with a .390 batting average, 10 doubles, four triples and one home run, with 34 RBIs (top that season). Jones also showed her speed on the base paths, stealing 16/19 bases that year and playing shortstop better than any other Falcon in the history of the program. She has been invited to try out for the NPF (Pro Fastpitch League) twice.
Jones recently played shortstop and centerfield in the American Softball Association (ASBA) in Mobile, Alabama in the summer of 2019 before currently playing her first season in the NPF (National Pro Fastpitch) with the California Commotion in the summer of 2020.
Amanda will be starting her first stint with AROMA this Fall as a Strength and Conditioning coach working with Women's Track and Field. Amanda writes "I'm looking forward to expanding my role and reach here at Messiah and to be able to mentor athletes in the weight room and strive for our goal here at Messiah to pursue athletic excellence and develop Christian character in athletes beyond just my own."
