Annie Sarcone enters her fourth year with the Falcons in 2017-18. For the second-straight season, Sarcone will work in the office of Athletic Communications; she previously served as an NCAA Intern within the Messiah College Athletic Department.
During her time as an NCAA Intern her responsibilities within Athletics included, among other things, review of game day contracts and transportation, and oversight of Messiah SAAC. Sarcone also worked as an assistant softball coach during the 2014-15 year.
Â
Sarcone graduated from Central College (Pella, Iowa) in 2014 with a degree in Exercise Science Health Promotion. She also started at shortstop in each of her four seasons on the diamond and was a three-time All-Conference First Team selection.
Â
In 2012 she was named the Iowa Conference Position Player of the Year, NFCA Midwest All-Region, and NFCA All-American after batting .374 with 13 doubles, nine home runs, and a team-leading 46 RBI. In 2014 she set career-high marks in batting average (.417), RBI (51), runs (37), and stolen bases (13) as she helped the Dutch to their sixth-straight NCAA Regionals appearance.
