Coach Jen Thuma is back with the Messiah coaching staff after taking a few years away from the Messiah bench. The 2020 season will mark her 18th overall season with the Falcons' coaching staff.

A former Falcons herself, Thuma completed an incredible career for the Falcons in 1998.

In her final season with the Falcons (1998) Thuma finished with a .450 batting average and .594 slugging percentage. She also went 27 for 27 on stolen bases that season.

Thuma has impressive career stats, posting a .454 batting average and a .560 slugging percentage while stealing 92 of 98 bases. Thuma was a two-time All-American and earned all-tournament honors in the 1998 NCAA Division III College World Series with a tournament batting average of .636.

Thuma continues to share her wealth of knowledge with the Falcon team as the Strength/Conditioning and Outfield Coach. She has served as an assistant coach longer than anyone else on staff and continues to work hard to make the Falcons a better team.

Coach Weaver says "I could not do what I do at Messiah without Jen over the years. She has faithfully served as an assistant coach and helped the program tremendously over the many years." Jen also helps at all the Falcon camps and clinics instructing youth of all ages.

Away from Messiah, Jen works in the health and fitness field. She is married to her husband, Michael Thuma, and they have two children, a son Kaeden and a daughter Logan.
